This is a formal Mofuku (or mourning) kimono it is made of gauze like silk called ro. Strips of densely woven material separated by open weave distinguishes the ro weave. In the language of kimono this gown was reserved for August. It has the traditional five family crests. They are presented in the oak motif. 49 x 60
