TAISHO (1912-1926) RINZU HAORI WITH LACQUER WEAVE AND KIN MON The weaver is the primary artist for this stunning antique haori. The complex design of Imperial carts, mandarin oranges and screens is a suitable backdrop for the lacquered citrus and chrysanthemums. The haori has the touch of antique silk. It is soft and lightweight with lots of character and drape. It has a single mon or family crest in the Kin or paulownia motif. Paulownia is the most popular mon motif in Japan. The addition of the crest makes this haori appropriate for dress occasions. The haori is fully lined. It’s sleeves are 26 inches long.
